Dirar Kalash(+Guests) Live Music Performance
Based on WikiLeaks documents and archived sonic and visual material, Dirar Kalash and potential guests on synths, joined by visual artist Omar Adel, bring forth an audio-visual performance that focuses on the everyday and the lived aspects of a struggle for justice, for the countless victims of imperialist aggression, as well as for those who suffer for speaking up, like Alaa Abdelfatah, Julian Assange, Chelsea Manning, and many others; thus focusing on those apparently “different” causes as one of solidarity and unified struggle.
The live and sound and image function as a senso-political tool that is not merely a statement, but rather as an intensifying experience that says it’s plain : the war is here and now, and so is the struggle.
